Strong Foundation and Leadership
Ray Sharma – President & Founder
Ray is the founder of XMG and oversees management and vision of the company. Prior to XMG, Ray co-founded Xtreme Labs, presently one of the World’s largest app developers, where he remains Chairman of the Board. Ray is also a community representative of the Ontario Judicial Council, which provides oversight of provincially-appointed judges and masters. Outside of business interests Ray is a fan of God of War, Toronto Maple Leafs, and the game of golf.
Henry Quan – Board of Directors
Previously Mr. Quan was Vice President of Corporate Development at AMD, where he was responsible for corporate growth strategy, Mergers and Acquisitions and ran special projects on behalf of the Board of Directors and CEO. He also held other senior posts at ATI Technologies Inc. including Vice President of Marketing where he helped grow the company from $60 million to over $2 billion in revenue.
Mr. Quan was on the Board of directors of a number of industry standards committees, including the Peripheral Component Interconnect (PCI) Steering Committee and Video Electronics Standards Association (VESA). In addition, he has served on the boards of several startup and public company exits including Pixstream, sold to Cisco in a deal valued over $500 million.
Jeff Brunet – Board of Directors
Mr. Brunet is currently Chief Technology Officer at Storage Appliance Corporation (Clickfree), presently one of Canada’s largest private technology company’s from a revenue perspective. Previously, Mr. Brunet served as Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer with Bitfone Corporation. Bitfone was acquired by HP for $160 million in 2006. Prior to Bitfone, Mr. Brunet acted as a senior technology consultant to Bell Mobility where he was responsible for the technical analysis of a $100 million dollar billing and systems consolidation project. Previous to working with Bell Mobility, he held the position of Chief Solutions Architect with Amdocs Canada where he travelled the world designing billing and customer care systems for tier-1 wireless carriers. Prior to Amdocs Jeff was a Senior Solutions Architect for Solect Technology Group which was acquired by Amdocs for $1.2 billion.
Jeff holds a number of issued patents in the wireless space and is the lead inventor on 30+ pending patents. He is a skilled presenter, communicator, and technology evangelist who speaks English, French and Mandarin Chinese.
Peter J. Schwartz – Board of Directors
Previously Mr. Schwartz was Chairman and CEO of Descartes Systems Group Inc. (Nasdaq: DSGX) (TSX: DSG) a software-as-a-service technology company. Mr. Schwartz joined Descartes in 1990 and has held positions of increasing responsibility culminating in his appointment as a member of the Board of Directors and CEO in 1995 and Chairman of the Board in 1997. During Peter’s tenure revenues grew from $1 million to over $80 million dollars.
Mr. Schwartz holds an HBA from the University of Western Ontario. He currently sits on the advisory board for J.L. Albright Venture Partners Inc. and Tech Capital Partners. Peter is the Chairman of Demeure Operating Company Ltd., Chairman of Brick Brewing Co. Ltd. (TSX:BRB), Chairman of WCP Holdings Inc. (Williams Fresh Café) and Chairman of Art Barn Media Inc. He is director of I Love Rewards Inc., ParkVu Inc., the Stratford Chef School, Onco Screen Inc., Glassbox TV, and Aware Corporation Ltd. Mr. Schwartz has been a member of the Young Presidents Organization since 1996, and was chosen as one of The Financial Post’s Top 40 under 40 in 1998.
